Biography
Mr. Corkery’s practice focuses on the representation of employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation.
Mr. Corkery has practiced in the field of workers’ compensation for nearly three decades – his entire legal career. Initially, he practiced with a large Philadelphia law firm representing employers in workers’ compensation litigation. He then spent six years at a small Philadelphia firm representing employees in workers’ compensation litigation throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. That experience provided him with valuable insights that he continues to utilize to the benefit of the employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators he currently represents. He was previously a partner at a regional defense firm for fourteen years and, before joining Vaughan Baio & Partners, was a partner at O’Hagan Meyer.
Mr. Corkery also has experience representing plaintiffs in motor vehicle and medical malpractice litigation, with additional expertise in subrogation issues related to those claims. While attending law school, he clerked for the Honorable Robert Mellon in the Court of Common Pleas of Bucks County.
